		Plasterboard Scrim tape The best way to seal the joints between Marmox insulation boards (and still allow optimal adhesion for the tile adhesive or levelling compound to be used) is by using Plasterboard scrim tape.

		Floor Sensor Hot Floors recommends all its heating systems be used in combination with thermostat and floor sensor probe, which allows control and measurement of the floor temperature. If you are purchasing an Electronic Thermostat from Hot Floors please note these already come with a floor sensor.

		The floor sensor is 4m long and connects directly in to the thermostat. When installing the system, the floor sensor must be positioned between 2 lengths of heating cable (without touching the cables) at a distance of approximately 500mm from the wall. When purchasing a thermostat or a heating mat kit or heating cable kit the floor sensor probe is already included.

		Hot Glue Guns An asset to anyone undertaking DIY. These Hot Glue guns are the best way to offer additional 'security' when installing your Hot Floors heating mats and cables. If your heating mats or cables need to be more firmly secured to the sub-floor, you must NOT use tape as this will compromise the heating cable over time. Simply use glue from a Hot Glue Gun.

		Heat Fix (25m) Heat-fix (fixing strips) is a metal installation attachment for the 5mm in screed heating cable. The fixing strops have flexible c-spacing in steps of 25 mm to allow variable outputs from 100 -200 watts/m2.

		To install the fixing strips to the subfloor use fixing nails or double sided tape. Pressed down into concrete to secure. Attach the cable at the desired spacing to achieve the wattage you require.
