The Hot Floors Underfloor Heating Thermostat is able to control up to a maximum of 3600 watts (16 Amps) of heating mats or heating cable. This equates to 24 m2 of 160-watt heating mat, or 360 m of heating cable. If the area you are heating generates more than 3,600 watts then you will either need to have an electrical contactor installed or use an additional thermostat.
The Hot Floors thermostat fits flush into a standard UK electrical back box. The electrical back box needs to be a minimum of 47mm deep.
This thermostat can be used with all of our heating products and we recommend all our systems be used in conjunction with a thermostat and floor sensor probe.
The 2.5m conduit is 1cm in diameter and is made of a flexible plastic. A recess must be made in the subfloor to accommodate the conduit so that it will lie flush with the finish floor when covered in levelling compound / tile adhesive / screed depending on the requirements of the system used.
This product is only sold in combination with the Hot Floors automatic thermostats and floor sensors.
